Sad Christmas story

Hello everyone!
How have you been? I hope you had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday time~

Mine was actually pretty sad. Last time I wrote to you, I thanked you for the commissions, which let me buy gifts for my family. I was really happy, even hoped to get a gift for myself as well. Upcoming Christmas time seemed peaceful and quiet.
And then, two hours before the family dinner, I had to go to Veterinary ER. My pet chinchilla Szarlej suddenly got very sick. So I spent the evening alone at the clinic, with the vet trying to do everything he could to save Szar (X-Ray, antibiotics, vitamin & glucose shots, heating him etc. ). It turned out that the poor little one had acute pneumonia and was only 33 Centigrades. The disease struck within a couple of hours, he was perfectly fine the day before.
After many hours of struggle Szar died It made me feel so sad, helpless and depressed. I couldn't enjoy the food and gifts anymore. I lived with this little fluffy guy for over 5 years and I already miss him so much
I'm sorry for the sad journal. MassiveMaster told me that writing about it would make me feel better, and I actually do feel better!
